30th Anniversary
In April 2013 we celebrated the 30th Anniversary of the Nangawooka Flora Reserve. We celebrated with a gathering of our volunteers and friends to toast their wonderful work and 30 original volunteers and associated people planted 30 plants around the Gazebo garden after it was upgraded by the volunteers.
In April 2023 we celebrated 40 years since the Reserves beginnings by having a tree planting ceremony attended by the service clubs who have helped over the years and the Mayor of Victor harbor Moira Jenkins

Volunteers- Published 11th Sep 2023

The Friends of Nangawooka are always happy to welcome more members.

We meet every Monday morning (Weather permitting)at about 9am in the gazebo and then do what ever maintenance needs to be done around the reserve. That usually means raking paths, weeding, some light pruning, labeling, planting in season and some handwatering of new plantings. We usually finish the morning with a shared cuppa in the Gazebo around 11am

As the Australian Plant Society is closely affiliated with the Friends group we are notified of field trips and discussion groups they are having .

Functions- Published 6th Dec 2020

Nangawooka Flora Reserve is available for small weddings and functions.

The Gazebo is situated looking over the garden and is ideal for small groups to use for lunches, afternoon teas and family get togethers. We have now had mesh blinds installed which make the gazebo much more sheltered.

The paths are mainly wheelchair accessible and there is a toilet on site.

If you are interested in holding a small outdoor function at Nangawooka, please contact Bruce or Helen by email or phone
